On 17 and 19 June, Axioma MS together with its partner “Radiodetection” organised workshops on “Detection of underground communications with GPR LMX200”. The first seminar took place in Kaunas and brought together more than 20 specialists from various fields. The second was held in Riga.

During the event, Gert van der Velde, an expert from the manufacturer, presented the principles and advantages of GPR.
The theoretical part was followed by real-life test measurements, where participants had the opportunity to experience first-hand process of searching for underground communications.
The practical part of the workshop used not only the LMX200, the “star” of the seminar, but also other Radiodetection instruments, CAT and RD8200, which are created for faster communication search.
The results were then analysed and summarised using the EKKO Project system.
GPR radar with exceptional functionality
The LMX200 Radiodetection is designed to search for hard-to-detect underground objects. These include non-metallic pipes, including PVC and asbestos cement, electrical cables, concrete storm and sewer systems, utility mains, underground storage tanks and drains, foundation and wall remains, concrete or stone road surfaces, etc.
The device can be used for underground utility searches in construction, infrastructure maintenance, geological and archaeological surveys, heritage protection and other applications.
