A phase comparator is a specialized device used to check whether the phases in electrical installations are in-phase or out-of-phase when operating at the same rated voltage and frequency. It is particularly useful after maintenance procedures or when new equipment is connected to a power network.
Construction and Components
The device includes two insulating poles connected by a high-voltage cable. One pole integrates an indicator and electrode, while the other contains an electrode only. These poles are constructed from glass fiber laminate, a material valued for its excellent electrical insulation, mechanical strength, and long-term stability.
